Biogest® AG founded in 1976, consists today of a team of more than 50 employees composed of qualified engineers, technicians, CAD designers and two production facilities.
Our experience of construction, planning, production and delivery of products in the field of
water management in residential areas, particularly for rainwater, wastewater and sludge treatment exists for decades.
Biogest® product areas for
wastewater drainage are outlined below:
Sewerage flow regulation – to ensure continuous operation of decentralised or centralised wastewater treatment plants, temporary storage of wastewater and controlled outlet flow rates are unavoidable. At Biogest
® , the hydro-mechanical ALPHEUS regulator was developed for sewage systems.
Storm tank cleaning – after a tank is emptied, the base of the tank will be covered with solids from sedimentation. The solids must be removed to ensure that the operational storage volumes is maintained and to prevent the build up of odorous, corrosive and/or explosive atmospheres.
There are systems available like: Tipping buckets (very noisy, high maintenance, not very effective), water jets (high energy consumption, high maintenance, always in contact with the water), Biogest flushing gates (special development with long hooks and break cylinder for better cleaning and safety reason) and the innovative solution with Vacuum flushing system (no moving parts in contact with the wastewater, low Operating costs).
Waste Water Treatment plants – The SBR technology is an extremely effective and stable means of waste water treatment that minimises sludge production. SBR plant construction is far simpler than other treatment works to build however the principle technical advantages are: high processing flexibility, resistant to hydraulic shock loads, efficient nutrient elimination, excellent separation of sludge and water, modular construction, diversified operating strategy.
The advantages of our
SBR technology are not however confined to its operational efficiency. Construction is simple and cost effective with a much smaller footprint than other treatment solutions. The use of circular tanks reduces ground take and temporary works required for square tanks. Last but not least provides the SBR-Sewage treatment technique excellent biological decomposition and positively affects the purification results.
Combined storm/sewage overflow screens (CSO-Screens) – In severe storm conditions the sewerage network and storm water tanks may become inundated and start to overflow into the receiving waters. In order not to pollute the receiving waters with gross solids the overflow should be screened. Biogest offer here a modern and automatic screening system with no moving parts, low maintenance cost and easy retrofitting.
